Final Destination 5 posters have been circulating online over the past few days, with the film scheduled for an August 12th U.S. release, 26th for us Brits. The fifth instalment of the horror franchise comes to cinema screens a mere two years after the misleadingly titled The Final Destination, the makers seem to have more to offer and no, film critics havent been let off just yet. Starring Nicholas DAgosto, Emma Bell, Tony Todd and the always amazing David Koechner (who will also be in another horrific, I mean horror sequel, Piranha 3DD) this chapter finds the survivors of a suspension-bridge collapse trying to escape that medalling death once again. The trailer follows a similar format the rest of the franchise abided to, with more cheap thrills and Saw like deaths. Those with laser treatment or acupuncture booked may want to avoid this. The posters themselves keep with the fourth entrees simplistic death theme, and highlight the 3D element with the in-your-face metallic skulls. They arent on the same level as the X-Men: First Class Photoshop catastrophes but the posters dont exactly rouse the inner geek in me. First here's the U.S. domestic released recently; And the new International poster; In an interview, series regular and Candyman actor Tony Todd revealed that if the fifth does well financially then there will be a 6 and a 7, apparently filmed back-to-back. This doesnt surprise me in the slightest, as after they supposedly ended the franchise back in 2009, the temptation of carrying on an extremely lucrative film series is too good a deal to turn down. Lets see how long it takes for the Saw makers and Jigsaw to be back in Theatres worldwide.
