Final Destination Cast: Where Are They Now?
The Final Destination cast's current destinations.
It has been over 21 years since Final Destination crashed its way onto cinema screens, and any premonitions of it becoming a titanic franchise in the world of horror would go on to be proven correct.
Over the course of 11 years and five feature-length, gore-tastic outings in theatres worldwide, the franchise has been on an indefinite hiatus since the events of Final Destination 5 seemed to tie the series up with a neat, narrative-altering bow.
However, as horror movies have proven time and time again, neat narrative bows can easily be unravelled, and sequels, reboots, re-quels and full-blown reimaginings are never far away, with this blood-splattered bonanza no exception.
The most recent news is that writer Lori Evans Taylor is attached to write Final Destination 6, and while the future of the franchise is in development, let us not forget to look to the past and pay homage to the original cast who launched this series into mainstream popularity.
10. Amanda Detmer
Amanda Detmer played Terry Chaney in the first outing of the series, a role which saw the actress serve as the girlfriend of Carter and a standout surprise death at a time where this trope wasn't quite as commonplace as it would be post-Regina George.
Her memorable death came after breaking up a fight between Carter and protagonist Alex before she is savagely struck by a bus in the middle of the street.
As for Detmer, she has enjoyed a steady amount of acting work over the past two decades, appearing on such shows as CSI: Miami, Two and a Half Men, and The Mentalist.
Most recently, fans of the show Empire will have seen her in the recurring role of Tracy Kingsley, Lucious Lyon's ex-lover, and NCIS audiences will have seen her in the S18 episode titled Misconduct.
Unfortunately, Detmer had a brush with the law in 2019 when she was arrested for a DUI and hit and run. She has had instances of automobile-related offences prior to this, so let's hope she can put these demons behind her and continue in her successful career as a performer.
