Flashpoint: 9 Things It Means For The DC Extended Universe

9. Jeffrey Dean Morgan As Batman?

Negan and Batman are two comic characters with virtually nothing in common, but that could change when Flashpoint comes around.

In the story's alternate timeline, Bruce Wayne's parents were not killed on that fateful night in a darkened Gotham alley. The youngster himself was gunned down, with his father Thomas going on to become Batman to avenge his son's death.

The Thomas Wayne incarnation of the Caped Crusader is a more brutal and unscrupulous crimefighter than his son ever was - he throws criminals off buildings and funds his vigilantism via a shady casino business.

As any DCEU fan will already know, Walking Dead star Jeffrey Dean Morgan plays Bruce's father in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and rumours are swirling that he could reprise the role in Flashpoint.

And, yep, this would mean taking up the cape and cowl and becoming the most lethal version of the Caped Crusader ever seen on screen, and that's saying something considering the Tim Burton version stuffed dynamite down a clown's pants and Christopher Nolan's left Liam Neeson to burn on a train.

Seriously, though, how perfect does this sound? Negan becoming a much darker version of the Dark Knight? It simply has to happen!
