Is The Ward the quietest John Carpenter release, like ever? The psychological horror, the legendary director's first movie in the decade since Ghosts of Mars, opens in the U.K. on January 21st and unless you knew to look for it, how would you know? Always worrying when the distributors do their best to keep a film a secret for this long. I got a press release about an hour ago letting me know the first full length trailer for the film had gone online and I've embedded it below for your viewing pleasure.I've got to dash out for more screenings (frantically trying to make my Top Ten list look as presentable as possible, tonight's agenda being 127 Hours) so I ain't got the time to watch it but I find Amber Heard to be all kinds of cute and she works pretty well in the horror genre. She was great in both All The Boys Love Mandy Lane and the more recent And Soon The Darkness. Let me know what you think of the trailer.
