Some people just can't accept that talented, beloved people who definitely aren't bad guys deserve to live their lives unencumbered by vicious bitching. That much is very clear in the wake of Ed Sheeran's unexpected cameo in Dragonstone.
Sure, it was slightly confusing to see him introduced as a Lannister soldier in a scene with Arya and for nobody to walk away from it without their life. She must be softening. Unless Weiss and Benioff are such big fans of Sheeran that they simply couldn't bring themselves to kill him.
Anyway, it seems to have gone down rather comically with a good slice of the fans...
And surely they missed a massive opportunity...
