Ricky Gervais has confirmed that a rough cut of his David Brent movie has been completed. The film, called Life On The Road, follows the story of Brent who takes his band on a tour around the country, financed by himself. Gervais confirmed the news on his Twitter account earlier today (February 4), admitting that filming was 101 minutes of pure fun. And cringe. https://twitter.com/rickygervais/status/695178208040370177 The bands other members include group We Are Scientists and Andy Burrows from Razorlight. A number of original songs have been created for the film, one with a notably David Brent style name Please Dont Make Fun Of The Disabled. Around the time of release, the 54-year-old has also revealed that he and his fellow band members will be playing gigs, along with bringing out an album. Looks like Brent really isnt intimidated when talking to large numbers of people in an entertaining way, whod have thought it. The film is a follow up of the award winning TV show, The Office, which aired in 2001. It follows the day-to-day life of office employees of which Brent is in charge. It was such a hit that a US version was created in 2005, and has since gone on to produce nine series. Life On The Road comes to cinemas on August 19.
