12. The Major's Sexuality

Major's sexuality has been a constant discussion point for fans, given her rather ambiguous preferences in the various iterations of GITS, though the popular consensus seems to be that she's bisexual, which surprisingly enough appears to have made it through to the live-action movie.

It would've shocked nobody (but outraged many) if Paramount decided to make Major strictly heterosexual in order to appeal to the most wide audience base possible given the considerable riskiness of the project, but admirably they seem to have kept Major's dubious sexuality in the movie, evidenced by a brief encounter with a woman who asks Major, "Who are you?"

Given that this woman can also be seen curb-crawling in a previous shot, it's probable she's a prostitute.
