The king is coming! Long live the king! While this article may be slightly premature considering the Godzilla remake doesn't come out until 2014 - I couldn't be more excited about the upcoming reboot judging from previous artwork released, the cast, the director and even I managed to see a glimpse of what was released at the San Diego Comic con on YouTube. Now I don't know about you guys but I have always found the idea of dinosaurs/Godzilla to be fascinating. Yes I know he's not a dinosaur you Godzilla purists out there. I am really hoping that this film can erase the memory of the 1998 film and give us something we can root for but also be terrified of at the same time. During this article I'll be trying to break down what is needed to give us a truly epic Godzilla film and not just another cheap monster flick. With Pacific Rim being somewhat average at the box office and reviews being equally average, Godzilla must take note of what worked in that film and what didn't. Let's face it Pacific Rim practically was a Godzilla vs. Transformers/military hybrid. With the advantages of modern day film making it would be harder than its ever been to deliver a sub par Godzilla film in terms of effects anyway at least. However, there are of course many other elements that could derail the films success and give us something like the 1998 film. We really hope it doesn't come to that again! So let's get right into it and decipher what it takes to make the Godzilla reboot awesome!
