Godzilla: King Of The Monsters Gets Its First Teaser (And An Epic New Poster)
King of the Monsters just got a whole lot Stranger...
Godzilla: King of the Monsters is undoubtedly one of next year's most anticipated movies. The sequel to 2014's Godzilla will see the gigantic movie icon battle three of his most nefarious foes: Mothra, Rodan and King Ghidorah. Though it was initially scheduled to be released this year, it was ultimately moved to 2019. But we don't have to wait any longer to get a glimpse of the upcoming monster movie.
Millie Bobby Brown took to Instagram to share the film's first teaser, and let's just say things get unnerving very quickly.
The grim teaser introduces us to Brown's character as she nervously attempts to contact Monarch (the organisation that specialises in massive unidentified terrestrial organisms). Though we don't know why she's trying to reach out, or why her hands are covered in bandages, we do know that she gets a response, but it isn't the one she was hoping for.
Things take a dark turn when the voices on the other end turns into gunfire and screaming as a struggle ensues. Right before the end, we hear an unearthly screech. The only question is: Which of these ruthless monsters was Monarch losing to?
Brown will have a major role in the film. She portrays Madison, the daughter of Kyle Chandler and Vera Farmiga's characters who is kidnapped by another organisation with its own plans for the monsters. It seems like the film is feeding off the Stranger Things star's popularity for its promotional material as she is also the centerpiece of its epic new poster.
With Comic-Con ahead, it's possible that this is a sign of things to come, and this sneak peek will lead to a full-length teaser trailer. We can certainly hope, right?
