5. Tommy Wiseau Gets On The Golden Globes Stage
Arguably nothing this year was more baffling than the fact that Tommy freaking Wiseau appeared on the Golden Globes stage for a fleeting moment when James Franco won the Best Actor - Comedy or Musical award for his sublime work in The Disaster Artist.
Franco took to the stage and quickly invited Wiseau to join him, to the shock of just about every fan of The Room watching. Wiseau then immediately walked towards the mic in an attempt to speak, but Franco quickly stopped him and proceeded with his own speech.
Some chided Franco for not giving Wiseau his moment in the spotlight, but it is Franco's award after all, and let's face it, Wiseau would've made things horrendously awkward in record time.
Either way, just seeing Wiseau on that stage is sure to remain one of 2018's most staggeringly surreal sights.
