One of the few things that the slow-moving Gotham has going for it is the portrayal of a young James Gordon, played by the up-and-coming Ben McKensie. His performance as the only un-corrupted officer on the GCPD is the lone highlight of an otherwise tedious show. McKensie's no-nonsense persona could carry over to the silver screen as he portrays a man responsible for the safety of a large area of the galaxy. The fact that he is the star of a popular Fox TV show based in the DC Universe (although obviously not the DC Cinematic Universe) would give him quite a bit of fan credibility as the Emerald Ring-Slinger.
