The roles of the actors eventually going to fill out the entire Guardians of the Galaxy will have a luxury that the original Avengers crew didnt - they start out as a group and then work into the Avengers dynamic and fit together as the bickering team of kings of 2012s epic. As the leader of this team, Pratt would ideally need a group dynamic background and ease with working alongside other people, which he is very good at as evidenced by his work on Parks and Rec. Its not an easy thing to create chemistry with people on stage, and without any sort of prerequisite ease, its a remarkable skill and a very important one at that. Not only is an Avengers-related story absolutely crucial for everyone involved to get along, but the Guardians of the Galaxy themselves.
