Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2: 11 Huge Questions From The Final Trailer
"So we're saving the galaxy again?" "Yep." "AWESOME!"
The supposedly final trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has arrived, offering one last brilliant look before the movie hits theatres (or at least until we get the international trailer, a bunch of TV spots, and a few advertising tie-ins).
It's once again an expertly-judged trailer, showing plenty without giving away too many key details.
There's a heavy focus on the family dynamic between the Guardians, which is brought into question by both Nebula - who looks to be joining the team - and Ayesha, who is shaping up to be the major villain of the piece.
It is, of course, entertaining, action-packed, and hilarious, and shaping up to be just as good as the first instalment. Oh, and there's an appearance from Peter Quill's father Ego, in the form of Kurt Russell.
It's another stellar look at the film, but given James Gunn is keeping his cards close to his chest, leaves more questions than answers.
Honourable Mention: Is There Any Movie Character Cuter Than Baby Groot?
No. No there absolutely is not.
11. How Much Will Nebula Be A Part Of The Team?
Karen Gillan's Nebula was somewhat overlooked in the first movie, which is a bit of a shame given Gillan is a talented actress who got right into the role, and the fact Nebula should be a really interesting character (it's a whole new world of daddy issues when Thanos is your father).
Thankfully she is getting a bigger part here, and it seems she'll be working both with and against the Guardians. We see her chasing down sister Gamora while piloting the Milano, and their relationship looks like being a fairly big sub-plot.
Given that, and the fact she starts the movie in handcuffs, just how much will she be with the Guardians, and how much will she be opposing them? Will she and Gamora be able to settle their sibling differences once and for all? Given Nebula is going to be in Infinity War, an expanded and more heroic role here makes sense, but how that actually plays out is going to be fun to see.
