28. Green Goo

Though some might simply assume that Zoe Saldana gets quickly slathered up in some light green make-up like half an hour before playing Gamora, the process for transforming her into the character actually began back in late 2015, long before filming started.

Various make-up tests were performed on the actress, including covering her entire upper body in green goo, leaving only the smallest of breathing holes (her nostrils) unobstructed. This gig clearly isn't for the claustrophobic.
