Ayesha's drone army includes a pretty big nod to arcade gaming history in their design.

There's one point in the sequence where the drones swarm in two lines, aping the recognisable movement of classic arcade game Galaga's enemy ships.

But of course the scene would include at least one gaming reference, as Gunn rebrands the Sovereign as a community of military gamers, piloting drones rather than going to the front-line themselves.

And if you listen closely, you'll swear you heard some classic arcade sounds too.

This isn't the first time we've seen a Galaga reference in the MCU either, as Tony Stark referenced the game in The Avengers on the SHIELD Helicarrier bridge.
