Why She Might Die
Nebula was supposed to die in her first appearance and she's been living on borrowed time ever since. In that time, though, she's been a hugely important part of the MCU story... To the extent that she now doesn't really have a great deal to do in story terms.
We've been through her entire arc from pain to redemption, she's been a villain, an anti-hero and an outright hero and while she would have some vested interest in her sister's story, it's beginning to look a little like the most value she'd have to the story would be to die.
Why She Could Survive
Again, because she's been through a lot already and killing her when she's run out of usefulness would be a particularly mean slap in the face to someone who was bred solely for her usefulness by a callous, uncaring father. So maybe she's saved by a little sentimental plot armour?
