Judging by Latino Review's sources, Harrison Ford has just signed on for Star Wars Episode 7. Yes, that's right folks, Han Solo looks set to return to the Galaxy Far, Far Away. Of course, this has yet to be confirmed by Disney or anyone involved in the new Star Wars movies but there seems to be something going on. Let's not forget that Harrison was reported to have said he'd be "open" to the idea of a Star Wars return a few weeks back (of course he's also not allergic to money and you'd imagine Disney would throw the bank at him to come back), so this news has kind of been expected. With a director in place (Star Trek's J.J. Abrams) and confirmations on screenwriter (Toy Story 3's Michael Arndt is writing this one) and a release window set (2015), casting is really Disney's next big step forward and it seems that we are getting closer and closer to seeing the original lead trio; Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford back on our big screens in the roles we all first fell in love with them for. On a side note it means we've got more chance in seeing the return of the Millennium Falcon as well - squeal!. At this stage it could be argued that Harrison may well be signing on for his own Han Solo spin-off movie but given the focus for Disney seems to be the Star Wars Sequels, you'd imagine we'd see returning characters in the Episode 7 as opposed to spin-off films with the characters at the age they are now (Ford is 70 years old). We'll keep you posted on anything else we find out about this but the sooner Disney confirm the returning cast as well as a great many other things the quicker we can ramp the excitement dial up to light speed and start counting down the days to the 2015 release of the next Star Wars instalment.
