Harrison Ford wakes up!

Quicktime has unleashed the exclusive trailer for Roger Michell's (Notting Hill, Venus) November opening comedy Morning Glory starring Rachel McAdams, Harrison Ford, Diane Keaton, Patrick Wilson and Jeff Golblum. It's the second movie from the screenwriter of The Devil Wears Prada, and it plays to the same formula of peaking 'behind the curtain' of commercial/media workplaces through the eye sof a strong, beautiful but neurotic female lead. A lead who will need to stand up to the elder statesman to do a good job, and gain respect. I'm sure we've seen Katherine Heigl do this kind of role recently too.Playing the part of Meryl Streep in this one is Harrison Ford, and seriously, I can't tell you how much I treasured all the moments with him in the trailer. I love it when he is into a film's material and looks like he actually wants to be there. It reminds you of how much a movie star he really is. He can be a modern day great when he's in tune and not being miserable and grumpy. And he seems to be riffing on himself which makes it ever the more delightful. Looks funny, and despite the warning signs of the trailer with it's chick flick music & neurotic women dancing, and despite feeling Prada-ish (what has this screenwriter got against having an interesting boyfriend in her movies, is she that career driven in real-life?), there's not a chance I would miss Ford on his game.
