Harry Potter: Ranking Every Movie Ending From Worst To Best
8. The Deathly Hallows Part 1
It’s a testament to how good the Harry Potter movies are that even the worst finale has plenty of emotional weight behind it.
Dobby’s death is one of the saddest moments in the entire series. Seeing such an innocent and sweet soul meet his end at the hands of Bellatrix is hard to watch. Indeed, the movie is actually more emotionally devastating than the source material.
As powerful as the ending of the film is, the conflict at Malfoy Manor is a little underwhelming. The duel between Harry and Ron and the Death Eaters feels rather lacklustre when compared to some of the other duels in the series.
However, the true finale of The Deathly Hallows is of course the end of Part 2, so it wouldn’t have made much sense to have had an epic battle at the end of Part 1 as well.
Still, despite how powerful Dobby’s death is, the finale of The Deathly Hallows Part 1 is definitely the weakest in the franchise.
