Harry Potter: Ranking Every Movie Ending From Worst To Best

2. The Deathly Hallows Part 2

The Battle of Hogwarts was a massive task for the cast and the crew to tackle. Thankfully, the ultimate finale of the Harry Potter franchise was well executed for the most part.

The reason why such a finale doesn’t grow tiresome is because of the amount of variation. As well as the more spectacular sequences such as the destruction of the bridge, the battle in the courtyard, and the conflict in the Room of Requirement, there’s also plenty of sombre, emotive moments as well.

Snape’s memories, for example, are one of the most moving and significant scenes in the whole franchise, and Harry’s walk into the forest and his conversation with Dumbledore is also a nice change of pace from all the action.

The only downside is Harry’s final fight with Voldemort. Annoyingly, Harry’s monologue is left out of the movie, and the dialogue that is present feels a little cheesy at times.

Having said that, this entire finale features some of the best music across all eight films, and as such, even the weaker moments have plenty of impact thanks to the soundtrack.
