20 Horror Movie Happy Endings Nobody Saw Coming

18. Final Destination 2

It's basically customary for every Final Destination movie to end with at least one or two of the central characters dying in horrific ways, but Final Destination 2 is the only film in the series to buck this trend - well, more-or-less.

So long as you can ignore the whole explosive BBQ accident that closes the movie out, Final Destination 2 basically has the happiest ending of the entire franchise.

After all, our two main characters Kimberly (A. J. Cook) and Thomas (Michael Landes) survive to the end credits in one piece, and the final "gotcha!" death is instead afforded to a totally insignificant minor character, Brian Gibbons (Noel Fisher), who dies when the aforementioned BBQ goes up.

As Final Destination endings go this is positively euphoric, and is made all the happier by the confirmation in the most recent sequel, Final Destination Bloodlines, that Kim and Thomas did indeed triumph over Death for good after cheating it in this movie.
