20 Horror Movies You Should Watch Totally BLIND

11. Fresh

Mimi Cave's deliriously demented Fresh stars Daisy Edgar-Jones as Noa, a young woman burned out on the dating scene who has a meet-cute with the impossibly handsome and charming Steve (Sebastian Stan), but of course, not everything is as it seems.

We're being as purposefully vague as possible here, because if you're able to go into Fresh, well, fresh, then its big rug-pull hits all the harder.

Cave takes her time leading the audience down an increasingly uneasy path before revealing what's actually going on between Noa and Steve, and the result is certainly unexpected. One for the sickos, you might say.

Edgar-Jones and Stan are terrific in the central roles, while as a sharp-edged, wholly unsubtle takedown of modern dating culture, Fresh is a gleefully effed-up hoot.

Thankfully the marketing played things just vague enough that you can watch the trailers and still not know precisely where it's all going. But to play it safe, you're better off just giving them a wide berth altogether.
