When the time came, Warner Bros could then release it all as a boxset with an introduction by Jack Nicholson's Joker sitting by the fireside in a smoking jacket and addressing the audience like the Cryptkeeper

Just imagine that: being invited into a set of contradictory stories by the man who (effectively) launched the character on the big screen (the 60s Batman doesn't count fully). As if he's relating his memoirs but in the most Joker way possible and simultaneously inviting fans to choose which version they like the best.
It's never going to happen, but the idea itself is just so enticing.
