1. Return Of Sallah - John Rhys-Davies

Despite all this talk of new characters, there's one character who was sorely missed from Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull and that was Sallah Mohammed Faisel el-Kahir. A fan favourite from both Raiders Of The Lost Ark and Indiana Jones And The last Crusade, John Rhys-Davies brought a lot of energy and fun to the franchise as Indy's Egyptian guide and his presence would be a welcome return. We already know these characters work well together. Perhaps they are reunited in Egypt after the war and Sallah becomes Indy's guide again as they search for the latest McGuffin? It would be a great way to tie the new films back to the original trilogy. The last one had Marion Ravenwood. This time, Sallah can be that character. After all, it's been a while since John Rhys-Davies graced our cinema screens in a big way. Now's the time to rectify that. Or why not all of them just for the hell of it? Indy (Ford) and Mutt (Gosling) discover rumours of an ancient Asian artefact in Hong Kong. Assisted by Indy's fellow professor (Freeman) and his protégée (Darvill) they run into a mysterious woman (Q) who is after the same relic. Encountering an old friend (Spacey) they follow her across to Egypt where Indy is reunited with Sallah (Rhys-Davies) and Indy's former, tempestuous flame (Fisher). Together they realise that the Russians are after the artefact, led by a mad scientist (Noble) who will stop at nothing to gain its power. Just when they are close to finding the relic, they are thwarted by a younger rival (Bomer) and are forced to head north to post war Germany where Indy meets with conspiracy theorist (Levi) to discover the relic's secrets. There you go. That's Indy 5 started. Did I miss anyone?
