10. Jon Favreau's Return

The man who was responsible for not only kicking off the Iron Man franchise but also bringing in Robert Downey Jr should be the one to potentially put a full-stop on the same series. Hiring Jon Favreau - one of Hollywood's hottest properties again - would be a major deal for Marvel who know what he offers very well.

Will It Happen?

Well that cheeky tweeted image of Favreau, Robert Downey Jr, The Russos and Kevin Feige all at dinner together has certainly raised hopes, if nothing else.

The problem is that Favreau has already grown frustrated at the Marvel machine before: he actually made Chef as a palate cleanser after the distasteful blockbuster experience of Iron Man 2. So it might seem strange that he'd get into that again. But then, he's also made The Jungle Book since then for Disney and has both a sequel to that and The Lion King incoming, so he's not against Disney tent-poles.

And then of course he's also working as an Executive Producer on the Infinity War movies, so a side-step into Iron Man 4 wouldn't be outside the realms of possibility.
