James Bond: 10 Best Weapons In The 007 Movies

10. Walther PPK - Skyfall

Separating the PPK from James Bond is like separating the cream from the Oreo, even though there are some strange people that like to do both, like the people who made Tomorrow Never Dies when they gave Bond a Walther P99. Too chunky a pistol for a suave spy-like 007.

The Walther PP series of handguns has been in production since 1929 and has largely been in use by the German military during the Second World War. Ian Fleming determined that this decidedly un-British weapon would be perfect for his spy, after 6 novels of a smaller Beretta 418. The PPK in particular is the smaller version with less ammo capacity, making it closer in size to Bond's previous firearm.

This has been the gun of choice for Bond in the films since day one, and in 2012's Skyfall it received a small but useful upgrade, that being a built-in fingerprint scanner, meaning if anyone but 007 tried to use the gun, it would be totally useless.
