3. Yann Demange
Yann Demange has been linked with Bond for a while now - he was made the frontrunner last year, and has been installed as the favourite again after Boyle's departure.

Demange is a rising talent, having made his name with 2014's thriller '71. Next up is the highly anticipated crime drama White Boy Rick, starring Matthew McConaughey, which should further cement his status as an in-demand director. Because he's still relatively unknown, there's a good chance he'll be more willing to work with the studio's wishes, although it's undoubtedly a huge step-up for him.
