James Gunn Wants Squirrel Girl, Moon Knight And The Runaways In The MCU
Hands up who else thinks Squirrel Girl needs to be a Guardian...
James Gunn has been talking to fans on Twitter in the past couple of days about working on Guardians Of The Galaxy, its sequel and about comic books and movies in general. There were some interesting tid-bits in there - particularly about the sequel - but interestingly, Gunn also said he'd like to see Squirrel Girl, Moon Knight and The Runaways in the MCU.
All three have been rumoured in the past, with The Runaways at one point hotly tipped to join either Phase 3 or 4, but its the idea of Squirrel Girl in a James Gunn movie (especially a Guardians sequel), that would fit the best. She has that tangible outsider quality about her that would make her a great candidate for the team, and she's already beaten Thanos in the comics before.
Might she be in for a cheeky cameo? Let's hope so.

What Gunn does next will be a big question. He's already flirted with the idea of a third Guardians film, but that would be unprecedented in the MCU - no matter how closely attached he is to the project personally. WE3 would be a great sidestep into another comic book movie.
