Jeff Wadlow opens THE TOMB

Prison Break thriller is setup for the director of NEVER BACK DOWN.

Ok so with his last two movies Never Back Down and Cry_Wolf, director Jeff Wadlow has hardly made anything inspiring or something that would make his name a must see whenever a film of his comes out just yet BUT this guy is still young. He has time to develop. Not everyone is Orson Welles when they start out.

Variety say Summit Entertainment have bought the script titled The Tomb from Miles Chapman (relatively unknown scribe) and set Wadlow the task of directing once Jason Keller (re-writes on Deception) is done re-writing the script.
Story centers on the world's foremost authority on structural security, who's forced to escape from the master prison of his own design and use every trick up his sleeve to find the person who put him there.
Never Back Down was the first in-house studio hit from Summit Entertainment so it's no surprise they have gone after Wadlow for one of their projects once again. I like the sound of this movie. I think prison flicks are so easy to get into and you almost don't need no exposition. One of man's worst fears is of losing his freedom, so it's all setup right there. Let's hope Wadlow is a good director just waiting for the right material to take off.
