A direct sequel to the 2018 sequel/reboot, Halloween Kills is the second film in the series to be directed by David Gordon Green and will feature several returning cast members from that film, including Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, and James Jude Courtney. Series stalwarts Kyle Richards, Nick Castle, Charles Cyphers, Robert Longstreet, Nancy Stephens will also be starring, reprising their roles from the original 1978 film. Anthony Michael Hall is starring as Tommy Doyle, who first appeared as a child in the original film as one of the kids Laurie Strode (Curtis) was babysitting. The role was originally played by Brian Andrews, and was portrayed by Paul Rudd in the 1995 film Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers.
