John Connor vs. Freddy Krueger!
No, Christian Bale has not landed yet another big franchise to his name. And shame on you for thinking of him being attached to this, he's way too old to play one of the poor kids and we already know Jackie Earle Haley has nabbed the role of Freddy Krueger. Shame... on... you! Tonight's late casting report from Shock Till You Drop is that an offer has gone out from New Line to Thomas Dekker, the young star who played John Connor on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles to play Jesse, "a Jock on the swim team) in A Nightmare on Elm Street. He is said to be in final talks, and the casting is very much expected by all parties. Filming begins in a matter of weeks on this new reboot due out April 16th 2010, so far cast includes Haley, Dekker (if he signs up) and Kyle Gallaner. No lovely ladies cast just yet.
