In what's presumably a mere casting coincidence, Brett Cullen plays Thomas Wayne in the movie, after having had a relatively memorable role in the first act of The Dark Knight Rises.

In Nolan's film, Cullen played slimeball U.S. congressman Byron Gilley, who ends up kidnapped by Selina Kyle (Anne Hathaway). Hilariously, he's recovered when a SWAT team finds him holed up in a dive bar, kitted out in a Hawaiian shirt.

When he gets wounded in the ensuring scuffle and Selina takes off, he drunkenly shouts to her, "Call me!"

Cullen sure does have a knack for playing suited-up douchebags, you have to give him that.
