Jurassic World 3 Is Coming In 2021
More dino shenanigans are incoming...
As was revealed back when Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom was announced, there's going to be at least one more sequel after JA Bayona's second part lands in cinemas this summer. And now, according to Variety, the third part of the planned trilogy will be released on June 11th, 2021.
Inevitably, there's no story details yet, but presumably, Fallen Kingdom will establish a story-line that follows all the way through to another movie. Given that we know that film will predominantly be focused on a daring rescue of the dinosaurs and then a more typical monster movie with the new Indoraptor on the loose in the second half, there might not be the space to fully explore InGen's nefarious cloning and military plans.
So the third movie might look to unravel that thread a little more, with BD Wong's Dr Henry Wu back in focus. Let's also hope that they use the opportunity of the trilogy ender to bring back more of the original cast to follow Jeff Goldblum's cameo in Fallen Kingdom. Because a world with dinos loose needs Doctors Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler on the front-line.
There’s nothing on who will direct yet, but Colin Trevorrow and Pacific Rim: Uprising’s Emily Carmichael will write it, Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley will produce, and Trevorrow and Steven Spielberg will be executive producers.
