Justice League: 10 Must-See New Details About The Film Revealed During Justice Con
3. Zack Snyder Had No Involvement In Joss Whedon's Hiring
It's sadly easy to forget given how much demand there has been to #ReleaseTheSnyderCut, but the reason Zack Snyder left Justice League was because his daughter passed away. The full story behind what happened has never really been addressed, but it was around this time that Warner Bros. decided that Joss Whedon should write and direct the movie's reshoots.
At the time, fans were led to believe that Snyder had hand-picked Whedon, a close personal friend, to helm the reshoots he would have directed had circumstances been different.
"It certainly was our decision to leave the movie in the light of what happened and was it specifically our call on who would do it and all that, it was before the committee," Snyder revealed, confirming that he was never fired to asked to step down. As for whether he had any input in what came next a visibly uncomfortable Snyder said, "We were pretty distracted at the time."
However, he went on to strongly indicate that he no say whatsoever in the hiring of Whedon, and given how much he changed Snyder's movie, it's doubtful he would have ever approved of that.
