Kong: Skull Island Trailer: 8 Things You Might Have Missed
8. John C. Reilly's Jacket
When John C. Reilly was cast in Kong: Skull Island in 2015, it was all but a given that he'd be tasked with providing the film's comedic relief - and lo and behold, the trailer confirmed those thoughts.
And, as if you needed any more confirmation that Reilly's tongue will be firmly in his cheek for the duration of the movie, just take a look at the text spread across the back of his leather jacket: "good for your health".
Now, to most people, this line will mean nothing, but for fans of Reilly's earlier work on an Adult Swim production - called Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! - it's a nod to a character Reilly played on that show, Dr. Steve Brule.
Brule is an overly eccentric 'doctor' who would frequently provide some not-so-helpful medical advice in a segment called 'Brule's Rules'. The character is fondly remembered for his iconic catchphrase "for your health", which constitutes three of the four words found on Reilly's jacket.
The show, along with Brule, ended in 2010, but it's great to see that such an underappreciated character can live on, even in the smallest of ways.
