Kristen Stewart Dumped Off Snow White & The Huntsman Sequel?

Has Hollywood's highest paid actress been dropped from the Snow White franchise?

Oh dear, it's not been a great few weeks for Miss Stewart has it? Ever since she was named the highest paid actress in Hollywood by Forbes magazine things have been going downhill for the Twilight star. Following her recent headlining grabbing confession of an affair with her Snow White & The Huntsman director Rupert Sanders, Stewart (22) has faced a stream of constant attacks and criticism from the global media. Attacks and criticism that could see her lose out on a lucrative franchise. In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, a Universal Spokeswoman stated that "The studio is currently exploring options to continue the franchise" based on the classic fairytale. But it seems that the studio, if plans go ahead, have decided that a spin-off Chris Hemsworth led sequel featuring the woodsman would be more suited than a direct Snow White sequel... meaning Stewart is unlikely to be asked to return. Whether this is directly related to the Stewart/Sanders scandal is unclear, with no indication from the studio of why the change of direction has been made. However Deadline were quick to squash the reports that Stewart may have been dropped, receiving a statement from Universal Co-Chairman Donna Langley that said;
€œWe are extremely proud of 'Snow White And The Huntsman' and we€™re currently exploring all options to continue the franchise. Any reports that Kristen Stewart has been dropped are false.€
Whilst things are looking bleak lately for Stewart, Robert Pattinson has had some timely good news. Variety have reported that Pattinson is set to play T.E Lawrence alongside Naomi Watts in Werner Herzog's Queen of the Desert, which will focus on the life of English writer Gertrude Bell. With Kristen Stewart one of Hollywoods biggest cash cows, it'll be interesting to see what happens next for the young starlet.
