Wolverine meets The Last Of Us in yet another stunning trailer for Logan.
Can it just be March 3 already?
The first Logan trailer arrived last year, and stunned everybody with how incredible it was. Not just the best superhero movie trailer of 2016, but arguably best trailer period. Set to Johnny Cash's Hurt, it looked more indie film than comic book movie.
If that set the tone, then the second trailer continues to nail it, and setup Logan as perhaps the most exciting superhero movie of 2017 - not words I expected I'd be writing before that first trailer. This time soundtracked by Kaleo's Way Down We Go, it once again looks unlike any superhero movie we've ever seen; not so much X-Men as it is Wolverine-meets-The Last Of Us.
Putting a greater spotlight on Laura, the new child in Logan's life, it maybe doesn't quite have the same impact as the first, but it's still a stunning tease of the film. Violent, brooding, R-rated, and with the promise of a real emotional throughline, this is shaping up to be the Wolverine film we've all been waiting for - and a fitting final bow for Hugh Jackman.
