Look Out, Angry Fanboys: New Ghostbusters TV Spot Has A Lady Slimer

Hark at the sound of a million triggers being simultaneously set off: there's a female Slimer in the new Ghostbusters movie.

What's next? A female Ecto-1? A male old lady in the library? When will this madness end?

Thanks to a couple of new TV spots, we've got our first glimpse at what appears to be Slimer's family, including a Mrs Slimer sort of figure (sincere apologies if they're not actually married, of course). How tough it must be for people struggling to have a normal life to see that a flying garbage disposal unit has managed to find happiness: if it wasn't so damning it would be a lesson for us all.

Truly, if your major issue with this TV spot is the girl ghost - and not that Slimer is driving a bloody car - there's probably something wrong with you. But I'll concede that this is another poor step in a marketing campaign that has struggled for consistently positive results almost since day one.
