We first met Andy Serkis' black market arms dealer back in Avengers: Age of Ultron, where Ultron made him a billionaire in return for providing Vibranium, though their short-lived arrangement was punctuated by the loss of Klaue's arm. He made his exit when the Avengers turned up to fight Ultron, slinking into the shadows of the MCU until earlier this year, where he resurfaced working alongside Killmonger.

Unfortunately for him, that partnership resulted in his death, but the road leading up to that moment was fun, the character - and Serkis - unleashed to cause a ruckus in the universe. While Killmonger had grander ambitions and a deeper motivation, Klaue was, for all intents and purposes, crazy, happy to murder innocents and cause mayhem simply for the thrill, the character hardly even concerned about his circumstances when he was detained by Everett Ross.

Considering his important to the larger narrative, Killmonger was the antagonist most people were talking about coming out of the film, but Klaue deserves every ounce of acknowledgment he can get for stealing the show in his secondary role. Serkis was clearly having a blast, and that glee was infectious, the only real disappointment about his performance being that we'll never get more of it now that the character finally got what was coming to him.
