10. The Groundwork Is Being Laid For Doctor Doom

When it came to capitalising on Doctor Doom's Latverian heritage, Fox's Fantastic Four movies completely dropped the ball. It was certainly hinted at, but the villain was ultimately pretty generic, and basically just an American businessman or scientist when all was said and done.

When Victor Von Doom arrives in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the hope is that he will be the dictator of that fictional country, and a report from MCU Cosmic indicates that the groundwork will soon be laid for that. An unspecified Marvel Studios project will reportedly introduce Lucia Von Bardas, a relatively obscure comic book villain who has served as Doom's successor.

Lucia even took the "Doctor Doom" mantle for herself for a time, and Marvel Studios could easily introduce her as a diplomat or something similar in an upcoming movie or TV show to confirm that, yes, Latveria does indeed exist in the MCU.

This would be similar to the way Wakanda was mentioned in Avengers: Age of Ultron before Black Panther showed up in Captain America: Civil War.
