10. Not Making Bucky The New Captain America

Both the writers and directors of Avengers: Endgame have offered compelling explanations regarding why Bucky isn't the new Captain America, and it essentially boils down to his dark past as The Winter Soldier. However, the fact he has never fully been redeemed can arguably be blamed on Marvel Studios not giving Steve Rogers' oldest friend the screentime he deserves!

Had his story been handled a little differently, then him being chosen to follow in his oldest friend's footsteps would have made sense, and been something comic book fans would be 100% on board with (after all, that is what happened in the comic books).

There's no denying that the prospect of an African American Captain America is a thrilling one, especially as it feels very relevant in today's world. However, Bucky being sidelined simply doesn't sit right with us, and despite him having equal billing in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier TV series coming to Disney+, we can't help but feel like he's once again going to fade into the background.
