World eaters, mutants and monsters...

As you will have heard lots of times already, Marvel has a villain problem. We might have seen one of the most compelling cinematic villains of all time in Tom Hiddleston's Loki and Michael Keaton's Vulture was brilliant, but beyond them there haven't been nearly as many good additions to the MCU as there probably should have been.

Perhaps that's one of the reasons why Disney deemed the purchase of Fox's major assets a good idea, despite the eye-watering cost and the accusations of monopolisation (not to mention the logistical headache of absorption of a company)? They knew that providing the readies would mean a whole new supply of villains - including some of the most famous names in the Marvel rogue's gallery - and with the MCU set to expand even further, more assets is certainly not a bad thing.

Sure, it will be better all round when they also buy Spider-Man's villains from Sony, but for now they've bought a number of villains who could be dropped into Phase 4 immediately. And with Thanos leaving a big hole when he's gone (assuming he will go), it seems inevitable that some of them will have to make the step up.

So who could they call upon to make the new MCU Phase a little more memorably evil...?
