8. Sebastian Stan's Smack Talk

As if being an actually really talented actor wasn't good enough for getting Robert Downey Jr in the mood to play Tony Stark for Civil War, he had some assistance thanks to co-star Sebastian Stan who plays on-screen nemesis Bucky Barnes.

In order to stoke the fire under Downey Jr the day before the fight scene between them, Stan sent him a video of himself working out with the added stinger of a decapitated Iron Man head. As he did bicep curls he sent the message: "Looking forward to our scene tomorrow Robert".

Now that's how you do shade.
