15. Thor & Loki Team Up On Sakaar - Thor: Ragnarok
Although the first trailer seemed to definitively show that Loki was a guest of The Grandmaster on Sakaar, enjoying Thor's captivity and him being forced to fight Hulk for his freedom, it appears there's more to the story, as revealed in the new SDCC trailer.
Loki too ends up as a captive on the planet and he joins Thor's mini-Avengers team, along with Valkyrie and Hulk to escape the planet in order to race back to save Asgard from Hela. The trailer includes flashes of their combination as they seemingly escape fresh from Thor's battle.
So, what's going on here? Could it be that Loki actually goes to Sakaar looking to help Thor escape, is rumbled by The Grandmaster and ends up in chains? We know he will seemingly regret accidentally letting Hela escape her prison, so there's every chance he believes Thor's help is needed to stop Ragnarok from destroying their home and people entirely (and Loki might want power, but he definitely wants someone to have power over).
Whatever the case, it's good news that we'll see another team-up of the brothers after Thor: The Dark World messed up the first chance so badly.
