16. Quicksilver Is Coming Back

The Rumour

Apparently, with every major character in the MCU set to appear, the supporting crew will feature Peggy Carter, Maria Hill, Wong, Forest Whitaker's Zuri, Loki, Odin and Quicksilver. So that's two characters returning from the dead in some way at least.

You can perhaps understand why Peggy Carter would appear - in a flashback as Thanos toys with each Avenger (if that hadn't already been done already once) - but the apparent return of Quicksilver seems particularly weird.

Could that suggest that one of the Infinity Stones could be used to conquer death and resurrect dead characters? Or perhaps the suggestion that Lady Death is going to appear (as in the Infinity Saga comics) could mean she have them under her care?

The most intriguing possibility would be that Scarlet Witch's teased arc ends with her break-down that effectively leads to a House Of M situation where she changed reality to protect herself from the painful truth. I'd buy into that.
