MCU Phase 4: 10 Dead Characters Who Could Return

10. Stan Lee

A bit of a somber one to kick us off, as the great man has passed away in real life. However, the MCU (and comics in general) owe a tremendous amount to his influence, so it would be great to see him continue to be represented in some way.

During the filming of Deadpool 2, Lee was unable to fulfil his usual cameo duties due to his poor health. However, the filmmakers still recognised that he needed to feature in the movie somehow, so his guest appearance was via a painted mural, pictured above.

Alfred Hitchcock famously appeared in all of his own movies, usually by a similar method of a photograph on a shelf or in a newspaper. The MCU could continue this method with permission from Lee’s family; considering how much he loved his cameos, they would likely allow these tributes to live on.

The rest of the list consists of characters who died one way or another in universe, but it’s still worth recognising that one of the men responsible for kickstarting everything is no longer with us, though his legacy remains.
