MCU Phase 4: 10 Films That MUST Happen (That Marvel Won't Make)

10. Daredevil

Daredevil’s Netflix series was by far the best received of the Marvel series on the streaming platform, and many hoped it would be the one to survive the recent cull. Unfortunately, it was not to be, and Daredevil was snuffed out after its third season released late last year.

Charlie Cox was brilliant in the lead role, with an engaging and compelling story for him to carry. Under normal circumstances, this is not a show that needed to worry about the chopping block. Unfortunately, Netflix’s relationship with Marvel was complicated by the creation of Disney+, which would effectively turn Disney into a competitor.

Logistics are the biggest roadblock. Contracts are a complex business, and there are the various studios and production companies involved, plus potentially Netflix, Marvel and Disney+ to contend with.

With all that in mind, if Daredevil does ever join the MCU they might just recast him altogether, as DC did with The Flash. Season 4 was apparently already layed out, but it’s hard to imagine a storyline so rich can be condensed into a movie; not to mention that said movie will have to link up with the rest of the MCU and relies on moviegoers to have seen the other seasons. Unfortunately, it’s just not feasible, despite the Man Without Fear's iconic status.
