Mechanic Resurrection Review: 3 Ups & 7 Downs

4. The Incredibly Boring Villain

Resurrection's villain is Rich Crain (Sam Hazeldine), a former childhood friend of Bishop's who kidnaps Gina in order to force Bishop to carry out three assassination missions.

Crain's master plan and motives are fairly generic themselves, but on his own terms he's just an immensely forgettable villain, even for the subterranean standards of a trashy action flick.

It doesn't help that Hazeldine is basically a charisma vacuum here and can't do much with the admittedly uninspired material.

You probably won't even remember his name or face by the time the end credits roll. Seriously.
