Megan Ellison Says Terminator 5 Will Be R-Rated

Billionaire investor Megan Ellison, the film obsessed young leader of Annapurna Pictures has reassured fans that Terminator 5 won't pussy out and be a PG-13 family friendly affair like a certain currently shooting sequel to The Expendables. Just one week after Sylvester Stallone, usually the prominent voice in the cinema of blood lusting and swear happy cinema, told fans that The Expendables 2 was going to be toned down at the request of conservative star Chuck Norris, Ellison responds by saying The Terminator 5 will be as bad-ass as any of the films previous, proudly labeling it as an R-Rated actioner. Ellison responded to The Terminator Fans concenrs that the film would be watered down just like McG's Terminator Salvation was by tweeting;

"We can't really tell you guys anything about 'Terminator 5, But it will be an R rated film as God and James Cameron intended."

And we believe her too. Billionaires aren't usually ones for comprising and we imagine she won't make a deal with any distributor unless they agree. Ellison, who paid $20 million out of her own back pocket for the rights to the series last May in Cannes, is current developing a two-part Terminator entry to the franchise that would see Arnold Schwarzenegger reprising his iconic killing machine. Ellison is currently on the lookout for a new writer/director team after director Justin Lin couldn't wait for the script & Arnie to be ready any longer and went off to make another Fast & Furious movie at Universal. Plus she needs a partner to co or fully finance the new film with, so lots to be decided before filming is anywhere close to beginning. We did hear she wanted it to shoot in the fall of this year but she is going to have to get a move on and hire somebody to keep up that promise.
