Minority Report TV Show Signs Original Movie Cast Member
Someone's called the caretaker.
which has just hired Daniel London to reprise his role as skittish, flip-flop wearing Precog carer, Wally. The original film - directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Tom Cruise - saw a future where murders could be stopped before they even occurred thanks to a trio of powerful clairvoyants, also known as Precogs. The show will be set ten years after the program was shut down by Cruise's top copper and focus on one of the Precogs, Dash who is being haunted by visions of the future that set him on the path to police officer, Lara Vega, who believes this strange stranger could help her uncovering secrets from her past, as well you know, solving crimes and junk. London we should assume will be the one sat back at the office sliding around on spinning chairs looking at transparent screens (remember them? So cool) shouting things like "YOU'RE RUNNING OUT OF TIME!" and so forth, as well as making sure Dash's paddling pool is still full. Currently the leading double act hasn't been cast just yet but London has been joined by Li Justin Li who will play Akeela, the teams CSI specialist. Surely, if there's murders that are yet to be committed she'll be sat around a fair bit twiddling her brushes? Or not, who knows. Though it might seem like an easy route to take to rolling off the back of a film (no matter how old), audiences devour cop shows like coffee and donuts and considering the futuristic elements to this one, it should be no different. There's no airdate set for the show just yet but Mark Mylod has been hired to helm the pilot which was penned by Max Borenstein, who wrote both Godzilla and an early draft of Kong: Skull Island. With those previous efforts in mind, it doesn't take a Precog to know the number of building-sized beasties will be at a minimum. Probably.
A quick glance at the television guide of the future displays that there are a number of shows spawning from big screen efforts on the way. One such entry that shows a bit of promise is Minority Report,
